40b - easy soft coral reef

Don’t have a build thread here so thought I’d share my quarantine project.

Tank is 6 months old and all easy to grow/ simple and soft corals. Running a cheap modded skimmer and stock Fluval lighting at the moment.

Equipment :
Modded Aquaticlife 30g skimmer
Intank basket with phosgaurd and purigen
Fluval Marine light
Dual 50w heaters into inkbird controller
Fluval and corralia wave makers
Hydor smart wave controller
Sicce dunces return
eBay full spectrum light for chaeto egg crate basket in rear

Coral:
Gsp
Kenya tree
Xenia
Yellow star polyp
Some type of leather

Livestock:
6 red leg crabs
1 emerald crab
1 Astria snail
1 tiger conch
1 Mexican turbo

1 coral beauty
2 clowns
1 pajama cardinal

Very nice. Should fill up quickly with those choices.

Thanks! So far only thing growing more heads is the Xenia but leathers and gsp seem to be enjoying the light upgrade to AI Primes

This is my third , ran a 29g bio cube for a couple years and ran this tank as a fowlr for a year with a clown harem before restarting it.

New BTA finally coming up to hang from his cave. Floated then drip acclimated with clowns I fished out of the display. Dropped everyone back in Sunday morning with 50% light acclimation

Nem keeps eating broadcast food so tossed on some cheap nem guards on both power heads in case it splits.

Took that leather off the frag and mounted it in the same crossover light heat spot the nem is in cause it kept leaking everywhere I put it.

Moved the yellow polyps back to the frag rack and they died quickly combo of flow and light I believe.

Haven’t posted in a while corals are happy and nem has gotten quiet large. Had to upgrade skimmer to a HOB and made structural improvements to
Chaeto hotel for the pods in back.
