So we have been working in this little drop off tank. We actually are loving how well it is doing.

Equipment:
  • Radion XR 15
  • Fluval Heater
  • In tank media basket with Purigen, chemi pure & filter floss.
  • Filter sock on the other overflow.
  • Spin Streams on both returns
  • Jeabao Nano Power head.
Livestock
  • Black Ice Clown
  • Domino Clown
  • Cherub Angel
  • Various Corals
We had an Aurora Goby but it killed itself trying to jump out. (Hitting its head on the top)

We want to add a fridmani? Looking for a low level swimmer.

We are having some algae, I think it is because the window is behind the tank. The blinds are closed, but we think some light maybe filtering through. 20180921_175823.jpg 20181004_173148.jpg 20181027_164352.jpg 20181027_164348.jpg 20181027_164332.jpg 20181027_164327.jpg 20181027_164324.jpg 20181027_164317.jpg 20181027_164151.jpg 20181027_164220.jpg

Same here. These dropoffs look awesome. Its definetly a showcase piece for the middle of a house. Hows the flow in these? I always had a feeling the flow at the bottom would be very restricted.

I love my drop off too! I wish innovative marine would make them in a larger size because they are definitely showcase aquariums. The flow seems to be pretty good, I added a spin stream in mine for better overall circulation.

This is a really cool tank. You should check out Innapropriate Reefer on Youtube. He also had a drop off tank that he housed a frogfish in.
