Ok, so I put those 4 peppermints in with the seahorses for the time being, and when I checked the tank before bed last night, there were TINY shrimp everywhere.. and no, not the baby brine.. tiny peppermints.. What do I do with these little guys?
They were still there this morning, and I have a sponge filter on to protect the seahorses...

Guess I'm gonna go for raising them..

Also, there were two 'dead' shrimp in there this morning.. Freaked me out!! Turns out to just be the molted shells :)

Congrats, Mom!!!!

And... there's someone on the club who raises these (I think). I remember seeing a link and will try to find it.

Check this out... aquazoa (member) raises shrimpies.

Good luck. You might actually have a chance in a seahorse tank. Otherwise a regular tank would filter/skim them right out. They need very little watter movement and nobody to eat them. A tall order in a regular tank.

Very cool! :)

We had that happen to us once, but the wrasses gobbled them all down in minutes.

Good luck!

I had two peppermints and every month one of them would molt and release her clutch. They eventually died of old age.

Thanks everyone! So far, they are still kicking..literally :) I couldn't find as many as there were..but still some. If anyone is familiar with Bettas, it looks like a betta nest is up there under the filter dropoff, anyone have a clue?
