Can you ident this?

I found this on a piece of liverock and thought it was something dying off. It is now growing and changing. Anyone know what this may be ?

Note the cones one looking straight at it and the other on the bottom. Also - there seem to be veins.... or am I nuts? Or are they veins and I am also nuts?

Looks like some sort of sponge.

Definitely a sponge. It is reef-safe. Just try to keep it submerged (if you are moving tanks or something) as it cannot be exposed to air.

Yep, a low light sponge... Prob growing under the rock, right? Keep it out of direct light if that is the case.
