The chaeto in my sump has some grape caulerpa intertwined with it. Could if feasably end up in the DT? I've read about it sometimes going sexual and spreading, but I've also read that it virtually never happens.

Should I be concerned and sift through the chaeto to remove it? There are some little bristleworms in that stuff as well as something </em>that actually stings, so I'm not real excited at the prospect... but better that than have a caulerpa takeover.

Gloves a Scissors,

Cheato grows pretty quickly, so removing hunks of Cheato to get to the Caulerpa wouldn't be a huge loss, plus less picking through, IMO.

Let us know what you end up doing, as I know I'd start with the tweezers, get fed up with it, then reach for the scissors. (I'm not very patient some times)
