I have some zoas a C. Clam and a candy cane. They are all doing ok since i put he light demanding ones way up top of my tank with my current 4X24 T5HO setup w/o individual reflectors.

I want to get more light in there, but all the retrofit T5's its i have seen that use individual reflectors will only allow me to fit 4 bulbs over my tank. I have a 37G and it is 30in long and 12in wide. Or will a retro like a Tek kit with 4x24W bulbs be sufficet for my needs?

I found these fixtures, anything i should know about these?

Would 6 bulbs be enough or 8? They all have individual reflectors, and if the bulbs are not that awesome i can swap them out later i guess.

What do you think?

Both styles offer their design in 6 and 8 bulb setups

Thats what i was thinking. I assumed there had to be a reason why the decent retrofit kits used such wide reflectors.

Would a 4 bulb setup with individual reflectors be enough light for anything but sps?

Very nice

Can you suggest some retro kits that will have the power you say? Or will i have to piece together a kit and use a diff ballast?

I have actually been to him before and we talked about these exact same lights.

I guess i'll go with these then

Thanks a bunch

Dawgdude, I was looking at those as well for my future 65. Would four be fine for sps high up in the tank?

Alright, how come you wouldnt use 48''?
