Here's some great info and great write up over reef recipes making your own Calcium Chloride, Sodium Bicarb, and Magnesium

Alk is Baking Soda baked and dissolved and Mag is Epson Salts... pretty easy to mix up and I got the jugs with pump dispensers and measuring cups from them too...
 
Yup, I have those bookmarked at home.

With the Magnesium, you want to use a ratio of Magnesium Chloride (available at BRS) and Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom salt). By using only Epsom salt, you can have a build up of sulfates. I use a 4:1 (Chloride:Sulfate) ratio.
