So I woke up this morning to discover my cowfish dead in my BTA anemone's mouth. I have read that cowfish can drop poison when they die. I have changed out all carbon and am doing a 50% water change. Anything else I can do to minimize the effect? The two have also lived together peacefully for over a month. I also had a cowfish and an anemone in my last tank and they did fine together for over a year. Is it common that anemones eat the slower moving cowfish? Do you all think this was an isolated incident and that I can get another cowfish and have him be ok?

how big is your BTA? I am concerned because someone told me mine(small bta) would eat my mandarins as well once bigger.

I agree with Tee and the lovely Barbara, I can't see it happening.. Also a good point about the carpets.. I have seen one eat a hardy strong clown trigger. Yikes

I bought a carpet a few weeks ago....today I got a sailfin tang. Should I get rid of it?
