green are the sump returns and are all 1"
red are the sump intakes and are all 2"
yellow is the closed loop intake and are 1.5"
blue are the closed loop return and are 1.5"

the sumps pump will be a sequence 750 series model 3600 with 2820 gph
the closed loop pump will be a reeflo barracuda 4500 gph that also has a oceans motions 4way oscillating device on it

there will be 2 x 250 watt MH with 1 400watt MH in the middle
and 2 - 4 VHO's

all on a 72" tank

tell me what you think

Just make sure you have a backup plan in case the power goes out. Def don't want more water draining into your sump than it can handle :)

i was planning on putting check valves on the pumps. so other than the flood everything looks okay?

Personally check valves are just another potential failure. Do you really want a return pump pushing 3,000 GPH?

i don't know yet. i know i want it somewhere between 180 and up. its going to be a 6' tank too.

yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

now i am below 10000000000000 for the set up

i need a part time job just for my aquarium

okay dawg what about the Iwaki WMD40RLXT Water Pump its 1200 gph. i think i will use my turboflotor and mod like this (http://www.asmskimmer.com/mod2.htm">http://www.asmskimmer.com/mod2.htm</a>) it to make it recirculatingand add two or three holes.

i like the idea of reactors in the middle part thanks for that idea
