I just picked up a 37GAL 24X20X18 Oceanic. It has a upper corner overflow that has been installed but the tank has not yet been drilled. The overflow is just in the corner and doesn't extend all the way to the bottom of the tank. What is the best overflow design? Center to the bottom, corner to the botton, corner upper corner, or center upper? The only advantage I see so far is that all the plumbing could be drilled bottom up instead of in the back if the overflow extended to the bottom of the tank.
What is the optimum place for drilling, side or bottom? I know the bottom of most tanks are tempered so that definitely would be an issue. Thanks in advance!
