My sally lightfoot crab died today and i don't know why. My ph and salinity are dead on.My corals seem healthy. I have noticed a few of the hermit crabs doing laps around the tank lately.Any suugestions?

sure its not a molt and she is hiding somewhere until the new shell hardens

She is laying upside down and not moving an inch

I was sitting in front of my tank and out popped the sally lightfoot.It is amazing how much the shell looked like a dead crab.

This happened with my peppermint shrimp, emerald crabs, and pom pom crabs. Each time, I could have sworn the creatures were dead.

The latest was when I happened to walk by my tank and was startled to see my $25 cleaner shrimp plastered to the side of an intake tube. Really had me worried until I saw him frolicking on the other side of the tank and realized it was just a molt.

So glad Sally is fine!!
