Besides tons of Calcium, what should I be feeding my clam? Phycopure is the only non-pellet food I have, will he eat that? The best I could find online was that they liked nano-plankton because bigger stuff was too big for them. Anyone know of a good article or two that I can read about this?

Light. I have not fed my clams in years. They get good green algae when you clean the glass.

Got a 150W HQI and thinking about upgrading to a 250 like Victor has. Mine only get brown algae off the glass, do most people have green on their glass?

A little green algae with a side of oyster eggs w/hollandaise sauce!

Only thing a clam needs is light......if it eats anything, it will get it from the tanks water column when you feed.....mine have never been fed in 5 years

Well, light it is! It'll get a heaping helping daily from 2-12pm. Seems to open up most of the way, but not all, it's halfway up the tank right in the dead center.

Nada. One of my clams is also shaded by a huge Sacrophyton and he's still happy :)
