It's coming along. Parameters have been very stable lately.
and I'm getting some awesome coloration and growth.
Even a few pieces that I thought were going to die have made a come back.
I'm happy with the tank for being up only 3 months
For the overflow, are you not concerned about the GSP growing into the teeth and causing issues?

Other than that, yeah, 3 months, looking good.

I figure thats the best place to start trimming from when its time. I was actually thinking of selling or trading that entire floating rock piece since the gsp has already taken hold of the overflow box itself.

Ever just walk by your tank and snap a pic or 2 then think to yourself "oh, $h#t!! My tank is looking pretty F-ing good right now!!!"

Today was one of those days...
Ps. No edits to puc just bluelight glasses over my samsung note 10+ camera...lol

Update to the tank thread.
Since my last post I added a few corals and reorganized frags in order to create gardens.
Have gotten some decent growth. No water changes in almost 3 months now.

Had these Reefbrite strips just sitting around so I decided to rig them up to the AP700 using a few brackets that came with the lights , a bit of craftiness and a few faithful zipties. Lol

I dont really need them right now. Just 1 on fills in just enough to reduce shadowing but as things grow out im sure they will both come in handy.

For now, the front strip comes on for about 5-6 hrs as the tank peaks. Then turns of as the AP700 becomes to set. I also reduced the peak intensity on the AP700 from 90% to 75% in order to not blast my corals suddenly.

The plan is to watch the reaction and increase over time. I'll post some pics of the lights on, with/without the reefbrites on so u can see the difference. Hopefully the camera can pick it up.

That will help out a lot, Tuillo makes a killer LED bar, one of the best in the business, I run them on all of my tanks... I think you will love it!

Monday morning my wife text me at about 6am (i work nights) and says "I don't think your tank lights went off last night. I just work up and they're still on." I check the Apex and YUP! I toggled the reefbrite light to ON instead of Auto and so it stood on ALL F-ing night. (Thats what she said.🤣🤣)

Anyway, I turn it off remotely and toggle off the kessil light that usually comes on at about 8am when I'm waking in the house. All my LPS were shriveled up and my sps looked hurt. I was too tired from work to deal with it or try to over think it so I just asked my wife to keep the living room as dark as possible and delayed the Kessil till about 11am.
The attempt was to not mess with the light schedule too much and just give the corals and fish time to rest.
Happy to say when i woke up later that afternoon everything looked WAY better. They weren't completely open of fluffy as they usually are but that was understandable. I programmed the light to their usually 8am - 8pm schedule and by the next morning when i came home everything was fine. Nothing as been lost.

Sharing this incase someone else makes a similar mistake. Our initial reaction is to freak out but it's really not necessary. Coral and fish are alot more resilient than we think.
