I. We agreed to record meetings for future reference.

II. Buying a new PAR Meter from Aquarium Specialty.

  • Vote – All in favor of buying the additional PAR meter at the discounted price.
III. Priorities for the near term.

  • Forum rules – Andrew & Justin going to wrap these up for presentation to BoD in the next two week.
  • Logo – Andrew will get back into it after we finish up the rules.
VI. December Holiday Meeting

  • Should we go 100% virtual? All agreed it was a good idea given current Covid situation.
  • Discussion about how to best run the raffle for supporting members only via Zoom.
VII. Opening up BoD forum for public view.

  • Allowing read-only access to BoD forum for everyone.
  • Also posting BoD in-person and Zoom meetings.
  • Vote – All in favor of making BoD forums and meetings open to public view.
VII. Motion to allow members to edit their build threads.

  • Vote – All in favor of allowing members to edit their build threads.
VIII. Encouraging all BoD members to stick to the forum rather than outside apps.

  • We’ve been having a lot of conversations on texts and slack.
  • Nothing wrong with outside chat but keeping conversations in BoD forum to ease of use.
IX. January in-person meeting.

  • Covid numbers are looking to get worse.
  • No in person meeting for January.
  • Will re-evaluate for February and future meetings.
X. 2021 Expo

  • Spring is out, Fall is the only viable option as far as scheduling goes.
  • Possibly in Early October????
  • 2021 MACNA is September in Atlanta.
  • Goal set to get a date on the books in January 2021.
  • Potential to have a large ARC frag swap in April 2021.
XI. How to give more to local fish store sponsors.

  • In store Youtube videos.
  • Educating sponsors on how to maximize the value of their ARC sponsorship.
  • ARC needs to update their sponsor list.
