its getting to be about that time to do my first water change on my new tank i usually do it every week but its been 2 weeks since i moved everything over and i was just letting everyone settle in on my old tank which was 55G i did a 10G water change a week whats everyone do on their larger tanks? would 20G suffice? just trying to get into a groove lol

I do 15g on my 93g cube every Sunday night.

test your water, if everything is good do 10-20%

if not do bigger.

I am a bit curious myself. I just performed my first water change on my new 150 which was also set up about 2-3 weeks ago. I was a bit worried since I have never owned a tank nearly this big (my last tank was a 34g). Was actually quite painless. Ran the RODI and mixed in the salt Friday and did a 10% (15g) change yesterday. Took less than 30 minutes.

I'm hoping if I keep the bioload low I can get my with a 10% weekly. I'm a bit more worried about the ongoing price of salt than the labor involved.

I don't think there's a solid number for it. It all really depends on how good your equipment is and how much of a bioload you have. If you can keep your parameters in check with just a 10g wc a week then go for it.
