I saw some cool anthias at the Buckhead store and wanted to add a couple to my collection. I know these fish need to eat a lot and can be messy so I was wondering if anyone had any yay or nay's regarding adding 2 anthias to my 90g.

For the people who has seen my tank... it lacks a sump and I would say it has a decent amount of bio-load in it...

Fish wise, I currently have:

clown goby
dwarf angel
pseudo
wrasse
mandarin
blenny
clown

So what will two more fish do for/to me? :)

hows your skimmer? I'ld say you could do it if your skimmer is powerful enough to handle the extra load. If thats a shaky topic, I'ld hold off untill a sump in. Then again I cuold be wrong about all this, but thats what I'ld do, lol.

what type of anthias? There are few anthias I would consider for most tanks, no less a 90.

I'm not sure of the exact kind... I did see some purple's and peaches mixing so I *think* these are what they have:

My skimmer is fine... but it does look like they have heavy feeding requirements.

To be honest, I would find out what kind they are. Many anthias are very picky eaters, and fail to thrive well in aquariums. Others are ultra aggressive to their own kind, so a lone individual may be best.

I would suggest Bartletts or Squammapinnis, but with a group in a 90, warfare may be the order of the day.

You are right, It probably is P. Tuka, I have seen a few show up lately. "IF" they are eating, I would probably put one in a 90. I haven't seen many that have had longterm success with these. But they are awesome looking fish.
