Im a new supporting member and thought I should show off my tank and ideas for the future of the tank!

I've been running this tank since late October 2020 but college has taken my money so i've been growing it when I can lol. I've had some recent trouble as well with salinity being entirely too low, about 1.015, but after buying a refractometer instead of using an old beat up hydrometer I think I've fixed the issue! There was some loss in coral tissue and color but currently stable at about 1.024 after bringing it back up over a series of small water changes over a few days. Color is coming back and seeing new growth!

Current livestock: 2 clowns, 1 toadstool leather, 1 octospawn, 2 different acans, 1 favia, and 1 candy cane that im trying to bring back to life from the salinity drop!

I lost about 6 corals in the salinity drop but looking to go to an anemone heavy tank! If anyone has had any experience with an anemone heavy tank don't hesitate to give suggestions!

I will post updates throughout my journey!

11 August 2021 Update:

I redid the aquascape to begin the shift for a BTA Nem heavy tank (not sure I love it but we will see where it goes). I should be adding 2 anemones later this weekend!

All corals seem to be happy and heathy this week and i've see signs of a new head on my favia! They've all been moved to the sand bed so that the two new anemones can move around and find the spot they like. Ill post updates once the anemones find their spot!

18 August 2021 Update

Got the new nems in! One rainbow and one Rose. Both are doing great and eating well. These picture are from earlier in the week so they aren't as happy as they are now that they are acclimated. I'm feeding often to try to get them split, trying to fill out the tank with nems! Currently feeding raw shrimp once a week and a mixture of Rods Food Coral mix and reef roids mid week. Everything is happy and healthy! Ill post more updates throughout my journey!

August 31 Update,

Tank is looking great and everything is running perfectly. All the anemones I added are acclimated and adjusted to tank parameters and super bright and healthy! I also picked up a 6 line Wrasse this past weekend and he adds a lot of new life to the tank! I'm super excited to have something other than clowns lol. I think I'm done with livestock for a few months and let these anemones grow out and split! All other corals are showing new growth as well. Super exciting time for the tank and it should continue to progress! I'll continue to update every few weeks!
