I have a 210 RR aqueon that I am unhappy with the plumbing. I would like to remove the 2 reef ready cutouts and close the drain holes. I would then drill the top rear and go back an exterior bean animal drain type system I used on my last tank.

Has anyone done this? What did you use to close off the drains drilled in the bottom currently?

To close off the holes in the bottom, most would suggest simply covering it with glass silicone in place. Now the real question becomes, is that back glass on your 210 tempered? If so, you can't drill it.

If it is a Aqueon brand 210 purchased in the last 10 years then the side panes will not be tempered. The bottom how ever is tempered.

Also could just plug the old wholes with bulkheads and PVC stoppers... I dono but I just hate gluing glass squares to my tanks for what ever reason.
