Picked up a Coralife 29 Biocube over the weekend. Got it setup, filled with about 39 lbs of live rock, 40 lbs of sand. Nothing special equipment wise - I did remove the bioballs but haven't decided on a final setup for the middle chamber yet.

This will end up housing 2 clownfish and an anemone or 2.

Day 1 of tank - obviously at least 5 pounds of the sand is in suspension :o

First hitchhiker identified.

We were the lucky winners of a pair of Clowns from Creation Pet so as soon as the tank cycles we'll get those in there. Ammonia hasn't mov
ed yet. I'll give it a few days before trying to coerce the cycle to start.

Tank has cleared up nicely. Will get a few more photos up tomorrow.

Finally have a minute to at least show an updated photo - kinda boring until we get cycled / stable.

Few more boring photos. Anyone tell me what this is?

Adding some updated photos - couple FTS, 6 line Wrasse - about 1" long, Flame Angel - about 1.5"

Everyone doing really well so far - few of the pics are out of focus but tried to get most of the inhabitants.

not sure if anyone else notice this issue on their cube but putting the power head on the side with the over flow prevents the top water form getting skimmed properly so I've moved my to the return side.
I see you moved yours lower, just looking for flow or did you notice a skimming issue?
tanks coming along, looks like you got to get the grass mowed still, crabs not keeping up?

Getting the flow right is a challenge. Still plating around. Skimming does seem less effecient than I would like. Alot of suspended particles.

Picking up some additional CUC today - no chance of any of them starving.

Few more photo updates - everything coming along nicely. Spread of algae has definitely slowed down significantly. Added a conch and a couple smaller turbo snails.

Also threw in 2 bottles of pods - something fun for the wrasse who seems to be doing great so far.

Surprised at how often the peppermint shrimp molt - have found 3 molts in about 3 weeks.
