So after aquiring a bunch of great stuff from you all, now I'm looking for help getting it all working together. I have a 29 gallon tank with one drilled overflow and a 10 gallon sump. I have had LR and LS in it for about a month cycling with the lights off and Cap bay said that my water is good as of yesterday. (ph a little low) Ive set the lights, sunpod 150 with 12K reeflux, to run for 8 hrs a day and have no algea growth. (they said I need some?) Underneath I have a sealife 150 skimmer that needs tweeking, an overflow that will wake the dead, and a sump that needs some baffles. As far as pumps I have a Mag 5 and a CA-1800 for skimmer and return. phew..
Any ideas on how to quiet the water coming into the sump? Now I just have one straight pvc going right into the sump. I think I may need a gate valve for the skimmer too. Now I just have the return pointed into the sky to give some back pressure so the bubbles get high enough to skim, but its also as loud as Niagra. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Im extremely to be close to adding frags and fish, Id just like to quiet this beast down a bit and make it more effecient. :fish:
