Only one of the three has been moved, it fell and the part that was in the sand melted away. BUT the same thing is happening to the other two and they have never been moved. Need some acan advice. Bubba

By what? Two have been in the same place for more than a year. The one that fell was only in the sand over night. They are out front and nothing can touch them. The only stinger that I know of is my hammer and he is no where near them. Thanks, Bubba

I don't know - that's why I've asked. "Melting" often means it's being stung by something so I just threw the theory out there.

I had recently moved the red one up abour 4 " until I could make more room It had originally been on a flat rock on the sand, but things were getting tight. My other two are and always have been on the sand. The red one started to melt only in the area that was face down in the sand and that was just overnight. I will have more room sometime this week when I get everything moved into a new 125, but that might be too late.
I am going to redo my parameters today. The ones that I posted were from a week ago. There have been two 20% water changes since that testing Thanks, Bubba

IMO Acan Lords do best in the sand. The one that fell. Did you put it right next to the others after it fell? I have had some Acans fall or get stung and they get jelly disease and it spreads easily to corals nearby. Just a thought.

I first posted that on 4-9 and it is now 5-31. Have made the switch up to the 125 only lost my hammer coral. The three acans are all doing fine now. The red one is acutally healing from the center out. Will try to get a pic soon. New params. Phosphate -0-
Ammonia -0-, Nitrate -4.0-, PH - 8.6-, Mag -4.8- changing water 30% tomorrow.
