37 gallon feels loose

So i have a 37 gallon 30WX22HX12D. it has been setup since September about 2 weeks ago i got it drilled for a sump. Now on a 37 gallon their is a black bar across the top and well the first day i bought it a cut that out (cause i did not want to have a black line where nothing grows in my tank) and siliconed(sp) a piece of glass in its place. Well i just topped it off and the glass bar is now not attached to the back side and that piece feels loose. Should i lower the water level in my tank and reattach it or just let it be a knock on some wood?

I wouldn't let it be...if for no other reason than an ounce of prevention....

if it was me and I had no center brace and the back glass felt loose I would be taking the day off from work so I could take care of it. The brace does not seem like much but it really helps the glass from bowing out and putting pressure on the seams. I may be way off on this but I would take care of it ASAP
