400 watt mh users- which bulb

i know this must have been posted before,,, but what do you guys out there using 400 watt ballasts like to use as a se mh bulb...im thinking of changing from a 10k to 14k... i know my par will be better on a 20k,,,but thats just to blue for me... any opinions???

I use 14 K on my SE MH bulbs. I too have used 20 K in the past but they were too blue for me as well. I have seen 12 Ks before and they looked OK but when I replaced my bulbs a few weeks ago I couldn't talk myself into swaying what I know works well in my system(14K) Looks great and good growth rate on the SPS

You par will be better with the 14k as long as you go with the Ushio 14k; it's a much better bulb than the ushio 10k (that's what you run, right?). So, you'll get a bluer bulb (not 20k bulb) and better par than what you currently have.
