Just got my tank mounted and all the trim done. Gonna make a nicer case for the reef breeder and hang it pendant style.
No sump, one to two power heads, weekly water change.

Sweet!!! It's about time. Didn't I help you load that in your truck like 3 years ago? And I thought my wife was slow. :)

Creative! How did you incorporate it on the other side of the wall?

Actual John, cantilever is probably not the correct term. There is avertical laminated beam in the wall with a horizontal beam laminated in it that protrudes out to support it. I just enjoy doing something a little challenging. I think a stand actual looks better but this was a lot funner.

Ha you finally did it!

And boo for not taking pics of construction!

I will take a few for you. The decorative part actually slides off right now. I'm thinking about changing the wood portion over to a decorative metal of some kind.

Even more impressive. Would love more details on the lamination. I have no idea how you pulled that off.

I was thinking you had 2x6s, or the like, running through the wall with something like a granite counter top sitting on them on the other side.

You did help me unload one but not that one. I actually just picked that up from Jorge at PURE REEF on Friday. Of course Jorge challenged me on a have water in the tank deadline.lol.

I like that kind of thinking .
The system I used was similar to one I used in free standing staircase, I have to paint the back of the tank so while I have it off i will snap a photo of it.
.

Don't let him kid you. He used a whole box of toggle bolts. :). Nice job Dave.

Cool...I really like the set up and the lack of visible wires. That makes it look really clean.

Although, you might have to move the chair. I think the cat is plotting something ;-)

Well I filled it with water and only had about an 1/16" deflection which I anticipated. I designed the bottom with access for leveling.

Dave, can you hang the light from the ceiling? That would lead to a much cleaner look. Looks awesome!

I didn't read. I see that's your plan. Looking forward to this.

LOL no worries. Yeah I'm actually using a braiding single conductor pendant chord and getting rid of that black power chord all together.
