48" t5 retro actual length

Anyone know the actual length of a t5 retro kit from sunlight supply or brs? Considering adding some t5 but limited to 48-1/2" inside the canopy.

I believe it's actually 4' cause the bulbs aren't actually 4' from what I recall. The bulb size is based on the fixture size I believe.

Assuming this is true then finished size is 47.75” so it would work in that application.

I guess sunlight supply isnt even around anymore, so yeah BRS it'll be. 47.75 will fit night and snug.
