Hello everyone. I was previously a member for several years until 5 years ago when I went through my divorce. I no longer have access to that email address and am not sure how I could get it back. I sold most of all my equipment at that time. I still have a little stuff to get me going like my 55 gal tank that started me in this. I have a question on my salt. I purchased the salt during a group buy on here and was wondering if it has a shelf life? I am wanting to get this 55 back up and going but I am not sure about this salt I have. I am basically starting over from scratch and I am going to need to buy some dry rock again once I start. I have looked on line at rock and noticed that Marcos is now a wholesale and you have to buy from their retailers. Any suggestion on a good place to get some. Thanks for any information and glad to be back. Even if it is a new profile.

What was your old username? I might be able to help. I'm pretty sure I could change the email address to your current one and send a password reset to you.

The salt should be good. If you have a problem with it. I have some salt i can give you to help ya out.

From what I understand - if the salt was stored properly with no moisture getting into it, then you shouldn't have any issues. People stock up on years worth of salt when there are deals.

Atlanta Aquarium has a lot of dry rock. I'm about to order me some Two Little Fishies Stax rocks myself.

I want to say either phnman or phnman372. If not those two I'd have to think. I know the email address of it if that helps any. Thanks

I have definitely missed being here and my setup. I did buy a 120 off of a member but that will be later before I am ready to start working on it.

Hi, I have one large piece of leftover dry rock that I just bought new from ARC Reef in Miami. I'll sell it to you for half price if you are interested. It could be broken into smaller pieces. I had it in my original rockscape but was advised it was just too much rock so took that one piece out. It has never been in water. I paid $3/lb. And if interested I would have to weigh it for you

Sure, that would be great. You are a good drive away though. You don't happen to work in Atlanta by chance or ever drive on the west side do you?

I don't but I'm always willing to meet in the middle.

NanCrab, I got my account back. Thanks to Justin. That may work. I was heading to the fish store but something came up. When I head that way I'll let you know.
Sure, when you are ready just PM me and I'll give you my cell # and we can work something out. Glad Justin was able to recover your account!

I'd highly suggest you "cook" the rock in a trash bin for a couple weeks at minimum. Mix salt up to 1.019-1.025 and throw a couple pumps in a new Brute trash can and let it simmer.

Welcome back! I see that you are in Carrollton. I'm in Temple. We have a couple members in Rockmart/Draketown too I think. Nice to see some more people in west Georgia on here.
