60 Cube

So I’ve decided to downsize from a 90 gallon to a 60 gallon cube because of space in my home. I am building everything myself, I built my stand myself (doors not done yet) and made the sump, the tank is a Deep Blue with a corner overflow that I converted to a herbie drain. Here is a few pictures of it set up and running for three weeks now.

Is your sump a 20 high with the ebay kit from Jax.racks? I have a 74 24x24x30 that I am trying to decide which sump to go with. Your tank looks great.

I think a cube sump will look so much better down there. I used to gut the biocube 29 and make a sump out of that. Still love that idea until now if I ever do another sump for a cube tank. All my tanks now are sharing a big 220g tank diy sump I got from Adam

Sorry to get back so late, yes it is. If I did it again I wouldn’t go with the Triton sump kit, I would go with the standard baffle sump kit. I like the tried and true ole school sumps that work just fine and give you more room in the sump.

I’m really thinking seriously into buying the Trigger Systems V20 sump just to have more room in the sump.

I decided to just build a wider stand to allow more sump options and easier hiding of other components. I was going to go with the Trigger cube sump before that, it seems to be a great option.
