October 12th Frag Swap at the North Decatur Presbyterian Church
Motion made to set $1500 budget for the event. The motion passed. Drinks and snacks will be served. Raffle items include $500 in gift cards from a sponsor store and $350 in reefing equipment (TBD).
Reefstock Chattanooga
Approximately 18 members stopped by the ARC booth between Saturday and Sunday. The Scavenger Hunt was a success with many attendees interacting with ARC to learn more about ARC and how to participate to win the Hydros starter packs - 1 was given away each day.
Carolina Reefing Community partnership
With the potential loss of MASNA, forming closer relationships with adjacent clubs seems prudent. The ARC board will meet with the CRC team next week to discuss partnership ideas as well as ARC member attendance in the CRC September 19th Zoom call.
Atlanta Area Aquarium Association
Discussion pushed to the next meeting due to time constraints, a joint meeting in 2025 is likely.
Holiday Party
December 7th at the Shorty Howell community center is tentatively confirmed. They are awaiting payment for the reservation.
2024 Trust Withdrawal
ARC members are continuing to use the Georgia aquarium tickets given to us each year we make a $5000 donation to the aquarium. Vote to be held next meeting.
The next meeting will be held on 9.18.24 at 7PM.
