I need to get a heater for my 120. The issue I am running into is that I want to keep the heater out of the DT and in the sump. My sump is a 29G tank and it keeps a level of about 11 1/2 inches. Most heaters for a 120 require more of a water level. So, do I buy two smaller heaters that will "fit" my 11 1/2 inch depth in the sump or try to find a fully submersible 120 heater that I can lay on the bottom of the sump? Whats the benefits of either way?

Also, I am looking at buying live rock (about 150lbs.) from either live aquaria or marinedepot. Does anyone have a preference between the two?

+1

AL get to work lol

I agree with fully submersible no matter what. But, if it is two long you can angle it in the sump and still keep the cord end out of the water. Make sure it is in the skimmer compartment where the water level is consistent and not the return pump compartment where levels rise and fall.

I am going on a cruise.....on my lawnmower around my yard.
