a mystery (microbubbles from durso)

So,
My 6' tank has an overflow in each corner, each with a durso standpipe - one produces microbubbles like a skimmer, the other barely any.
Swapped the dursos - same effect, what could cause this?

My sump isn't very large so I am fighting microbubbles in the main tank too now...

Did you swap the durso and the original pipe still produced the bubbles?
 
Nopes,
Swapped the dursos and the same overflow still produced bubbles - in fact it produced bubbles even w no standpipe...

Yep, My guess is a leak thats acting like a venturi.

That is what I'm thinking. Possibly a vertical pipe, maybe the bulk head connection? Is pulling in air.

either that or there's just a loose fitting on your drain somewhere....i had that same problem......basically just cut out my drain and over PVC glued it all together......now i only get bubble when my water lvl get to low........jeez i need a ATO!!!!!....hehe
