AC JR. - Email Alerts - Windows Vista Gadget - More

I should be painting my home office... (Must do this before a drop of water goes into my 90g). Instead I have been playing with my new AquaController Jr. I found a way to get email alerts, put a Vista Gadget on my PC desktop, and see status; temp; and PH from my cell phone.

I don't have all the kinks worked out yet... like how to send the feed through my firewall. But, I can get email alerts and have the parameters on my desktop so the AC Jr. can stay tucked away in my cabinet.

I've told all I know! Now if I can just figure out how to sent the information to the web. Author of the software assumed everyone knows how to do this... I don't!

Do you have a router? Do you have firewall of any kind running on your PC?

PC &gt; Wireless Card &gt; Wireless Router &gt; DSL. I am running Bit Defender Internet Security. I know I need to configure the router to allow the information to be sent... but this is where it falls apart (need to think about this some more). It's the external URL I need to generate to send to iGoogle. Just need to take time and walk through all this. The weekend is young!

I thought Aqua Notes only worked with the AC3 and AC Pro? I would pick up a Jr. if I can make it work with my iPhone...

Just make sure The AC Jr has the optional serial port.

You can down load AquaNotes lite (free) and have a look. It's working for me! But like mufret says... you need to order the serial port option.
