I'm considering one of these while they're $99 (even though I have a hunch with the new one's release they'll stay at that price).

I'm confused about the outlets' switching ability. I have seen people refer to "low power outlets", saying that if you don't use small items on those particular ones, they won't turn off.

Can you use a larger item (PH, etc) on any outlet of my choice?

I intend to control:
2 Koralias
return pump
heater
lights (2 cords on seperate time schedules)
and possibly a fan if temp is an issue this summer (so far so good).

I want to kill the main lights if temp gets high (and maybe turn on a fan) and control my heater. I will monitor pH but I have no reactor to control.
I only want to run the pumps through it for the "standby mode" during feeding.

How many modules would I have to get in total? That's 7 items, but I want to make sure I have enough of the right type of outlet to do the job.

I don't see a big reason to control my ATO. Am I right?

Thanks for any help.

The bst reason I have found to control an ATO is if your controller has a PH probe, and you are topping off with Kalk. In that case you can have it shut off the ATO in case of a PH spike. Other than that, cant think of a reason.
