Anybody want to take a stab as to what this is. I'm not familiar with a cans at all.

Yea it kinda came as a freebie. An orphan with no name. Not the most attractive thing in my tank that's for sure.

Looks like Lordhowensis Acan to me. I'd bet given medium lighting and stable parameters it would wow you in time .
Could be it wasn't in best of lighting placement or water conditions before you. mine give strong reaction to spot feeding like most lps.

It looks good. Also scans can/will change color from light to light

I have it around mid tank. It does look healthy just a little on the drab as far as coloration goes. Are acans pretty slow growers?

Try putting it lower and spot feed it.
