Acrylic thickness

I want to make a reactor 12”x12”x36” from acrylic sheet. What would be recommended thickness of acrylic for that size?

I wonder what the formula to go buy, tried to google it but didn’t find much on that.

I was contemplating an acrylic aquarium build recently and found this guide to be useful:

3/8” looks like a safe bet at those dimensions. I’m not sure I’d feel comfortable with 1/4”, but it looked like it was on the threshold of acceptable.
