Hey, my tank just got done cycling and I was seeing if I can add sand with fish. Will anything happen to the fish if the water is murky from adding the sand?

Rinse it VERY well in old tank water after a waterchange, then add no more than a half inch at a time

I agree with dakota, again. But me personally, I would only add a cup full at a time. Skip a few days inbetween as well. But, that is just my opinion.

Are you using "live sand".....or dry sand?......if live sand then there may be a possibility of a mini cycle......I experienced one when I added 10#s of "live" sand to my refugium.....it's a small possibility but it can occur.....I would say add the sand like Dakota said and let it clear up before putting any fish in there....I'm sure someone may say that it won't happen but I did have a small amount of ammonia after adding the sand.....fish definitely weren't happy with me for a few days

Alright, I dont want the fish to die in a bucket waiting for it to clear up. The sand is live and has been in my old tank for 3 months. Im moving that sand to my new cycled tank.

Seriously, I added over 20 pounds of sand to my 30 cube with fish and corals, just go slow, and rinse very well. I took me a month, but had no issues

I usually pour sand into a 2" long gravel siphon tube (Python style) sitting on the bottom of the tank then slowly pull the tube up to release the sand. Works pretty well and doesn't cause a sandstorm.

I used tubing attached to a funnel to do it... It worked very well.
