Adding to sandbed

I have a sandbed that gets turned over pretty good by my diamond spotted goby. He likes to put the sand where he pleases. Between that and some light cleanup of the dietrus during water changes, I am starting to see some barespots on the bottom of my tank. I have read that people recommend adding dry sand as opposed to live to an existing sand bed. I would like to add a cup full here and there as needed. I have read to rinse it well in RODI and then lower the wet sand in a cup to a bare spot on the bottom of the tank. Anything else I should be concerned with when doing this?

Anyone have a favorite sponsor on where they like to buy sand?

I just did exactly what you described in both of my tanks last week. Just do small amounts at a time or else you're in for a sand storm.

Also, be sure to turn off all of your power heads
