I hadnt seen my sand sifting goby for a few days and was getting concerned because he was always out and about. I was doing some work with the dursos and saw him in the overflow. Kind of strange for a bottom dweller to be swept into the overflow but there he was. It is very tight in the overflow with two returns and two drains and I couldnt seem to net him. He took a run and went straight up. I couldnt find him again and thought he jumped out. Still couldnt find him so went downstairs and looked in the sump. There he was. He took a flying leap and jumped right into the durso and took the ride of his life, down about 15' into the basement sump. I am letting him calm down a bit and then I can get him out. I hope its the last time he goes exploring into the overflow.
