Ive been slowly breaking down my 120 and ive sold alot of stuff off but id like to keep my spongodes monti colony. Its fully encrusted the corner of a rock and i want to keep it intact after removing. Whats the best way of doing that? Can those coral saws cut live rock? I also thought maybe i could use a drill to drill a bunch of holes thru the rock underneath it the kinda chisel it off. But that seems like it result in a "pile of frags" any advice?20200725_173537.jpg20200725_173547.jpg

Looks pretty challenging! Depends on how big the rock is for the saw, but I would suggest a pretty wide chisel to try to get as big a piece off as you can

@Suescuno recently did this same thing with a Spongodes colony and large rock. Maybe he can provide some practical insight/advice.
