i am looking for advice on how to build a stand for a 240g 4'x4'x2' acrylic tank. i understand that acrylic tanks require a solid piece beneath them. i would like the stand to measure 36" tall, which is a bit taller than most stands. i also plan on putting the sump and other equipment beneath the tank, so i have been concerned with how to support the center of the tank. does anyone have any blueprints for this kind of stand? or perhaps advice in general? i appreciate the help!

there was a member, on here badboy76 I believe. Might want to check the members list and try pm'ing him, Not sure if he's around anymore to. I think he had a similar tank. Should be amazing once it's up, please post pics!

i just sent him a message. does anyone else have any suggestions?

by the way, that guitar fish he had looks so sweet. i like the fiddler ray they have on liveaquaria.

I had that exact same tank. Stand was built using 4x4's for the uprights and 2x4's for the framing. I'll look tonight and see if I still have any pics of that tank and stand.
