Has anyone successfully kept these frogs for any length of time? They are such picky eaters and seem to find any way they can to get in to filtration.

For anyone that is looking to keep these I recommend you read this: Caring for African Dwarf Frogs

They really are not able to compete for food with any fish in my experience. They will literally swim through a mound of bloodworms and bite nothingness. It becomes a lot of work to hand feed them and in a bigger tank they are often hard to find. It's a shame because they are goofy little characters.

I kept one for 2 or 3 years back in the day. A sponge cover can help it stay out of filters. I would feed a varied diet including beefheart, bloodworms and live blackworms when I could find them.
