Ai hd prime magnets

Are the magnets that go on the outside of the glass to hold the ai power head able to go inside the overflow, water will hit it. I ask only because I just watched a video of a pretty sweet tank and his ai power head was on the overflow, I’m guessing other than glueing it there they had to use the magnets. Thanks
