That tang was acclimated in Kilz?

Thanks for adding a pic along with the YouTube link. I can never access YouTube @ work.

It's just a color morph of the yellow. And it's not albino. An albino would have reddish/pink eyes.

AAhhh... ok. But still strange. I wish there were more like that. They are really beautiful. We could get Bob Z to breed them!!

Even if we could breed them, which is very difficult in and of it self, not saying it cant be done, but it is next to impossible for the normal hobbyist. Some say you need tanks 6 feet tall because of the dance that the fish do when they are courting, so it's not something a normal hobbyist can acheieve. But with that said, even if we did have one of those color morphs it is still a Zebrasoma flavescens, meaning that most of the offspring of it would still only be yellow. The one pictured is still a yellow tang, just lacking the gene that makes the fish yellow. It is very rare to come across that in nature.

Agreed, still a very cool find. There is one hobbyist that has a few of the color morphs, but his are only yellow and white, not all white. I can't remember the guys name.

David Saxby, here's a link to the video of his tank:

Very cool. No offense, but isn't his aquarium a little overstock?? But none the less, quite beautiful indeed.

Ya it is. I've seen it in person. It's a spectacular tank. And you talk about a guy who knows his stuff. He is a great resource. He's usually at MACNAs and I make it point to talk to him over a beer. Incredibly knowledable.

Exactly what I was gonna say. You'd have to get one from the ocean or that guy. And that guy doesn't look like he's gonna sell one for cheap....... so probably impossible, unless an aquarium gets permission to take a couple specimens from the sea.........
