OK so I had a really bad algae problem hit me out of nowhere after adding some frags to my frag tank. At least 3 different kinds.. what I believe to be bryopsis, GHA, and some kind of dark red algae (not diatoms or cyano)

So I added some turbo snails and they ate most of it. Also cut the lights down.

As you can see, there is a large improvement. But this is what is left over

What kind of algae is it, and how can I eradicate it!? Normal nutrient/light reduction and CUC isn't working. I want it gone, to the point to where I can trade/sell/give away frags or start my next tank without infecting it like mine was

Also my water is from a new RO/DI

that's not your everyday HA. It's probably a type of bryopsis and there are many threads about it. H3O works on rocks, etc. You might try a shorter dip for coral.

I'm willing to risk a zoa frag to try that out, but as for the scoly (which actually seems pretty algae free I might go ahead and move it to another tank and hope for the best) and the chalices, IDK

maybe 1/10 parts 3%H202/RODI for a couple minutes

U can do 40/60. Make it in a bowl and drop the frags in. Wait 5-7 mins and pull it out. By tomorrow the algae will be gone!

Bryopsis is going to be the bull in the china shop. The other stuff was from (just a guess) uncured aragrocrete plugs.
