I had a green alagae outbreak and finally got it cleared up. I still have one zoa fravlg thats being choked by this weird grass looking stuff. It doeant look like bryopsis. I just gave it a peroxide dip, Im hoping it kills it. Any idea what this stuff is? Its only on the one plug.

consider hydrogen peroxide dips

Lookup on line concentration and times - and go slow.

It worked great in the past for me - including brushing them off with a toothbrush dipped in H2O2 gently and quickly.

It also helps to irritate all of the heads to the point they close up, before dipping or scrubbing with hydrogen peroxide.

So I dipped these fools in hydrogen peroxide. Then I waited a few days and then gave them a coral rx dip.
The hair algae is still there its hard to pull out by hand. Its thick not fluffy. I now see it growing on my rocks.
Zoas all shrank up and are looking sad. They didnt die but it seemed to be harsh on them. Not sure what kind of algae this is but need to figure it out. Nitrates are lookin good. Weird

You can take a toothbrush to them as well. They can take quite a beating.
