algae scrubbers who has them

I have been looking at algae scrubbers and thinking about running one but i wanted some more input and opinons from others that use them or have used them in the past. Are there any negative thugs about them?. My main concern is I don't want to have something else that I have to clean on a daily basis. What all is removed by the scrubber?

Acroholic made some a while back I thought, a detailed thread exists. I think he stopped using them though.

Yah I will have to do a look I wasn't sure if it was a better method that existed for what it did or didn't do. I was reading about them on mofib would these have any benefit in a broodstock tank I've heard they help remove nitrate in addition to po4

Mine worked, but it made the water a bit less clear than I liked. To me, it is a another flavor of a cheato or other macro refugium.
