ALK monitoring

ok... I know there has to be a reason, but I just don't get it... why haven't there been any advances in ALK monitoring...

why aren't there probes that work with your apex or RK that show ALK ?

How awesome would that be.

Real time water parameters is the future. It will happen at some point. Has to. Market demand would be huge.

I've read about some hardware in development that will handle a lot of this testing. Can't remember what it's called but I think they're talking about an $800ish price point, but don't think it handles the full range of tests we'd want.

I think it is possible, but the required equipment is extremely expensive, not at a hobby level price point. I remember someone responding to this question here with that answer a while back.

Fortunately, chemical Alkalinity test kits are among the easiest to use.
