Hey guys,

Apparently, everyone thinks my last fish (which I will get in 2-3 months) should not be a dwarf angel. Okay then experts, I have two Clarkii clowns, a Caudern Cardinalfish, and some snails/crabs in a 29g. What would be a good final fish to add to that setup?

What if I put a damsel or a chromsi in there? Cheap and hardy, even though I have heard they are aggressive.

IMO do not get a Damsel of any kind, They are not worth the hassel when they become aggressive and then you have to tear apart the whole tank to catch them. I would get a Goby of some sort. You could get a Firefish as well. There are a lot of fish out there availible you just have to look around and see what will be appropriate for your tank. As always, do the research before you buy the fish.

Goby's would be a good choice b/c they are small.

It may be pushing the limit, but you may be able to house a flame hawkfish or maybe even a six-line wrasse. They only grow to about 4" and they're pretty cool fish.

Damsels can be pretty aggresive. I used to have one blue damsel in my 29 and he did quite well. But, I know too many people who have had a little trouble with them. For all of the other fish options you have, go with a better choice than a damsel.

OH yeah, and DO NOT get a mandarin goby! He will not survive in your tank.

I was going to recommend some type of Hawkfish but he said he has hermits, my Hawkfish eat my hermits. It may just be me though, other than that I absolutely LOVE Hawkfish.

imo, a six line wrasse is just about one of the best fish you can get.....they are hardy and beautiful and have a great personailty.

I have had mine in my tank for about a year and he is great. Also, most will feed on flatworms should you ever end up with any in your tank........However, some gobies are really nice looking too and they also stay small enough for the tank....

oooh.....very true...grammas are great and very cool to watch them sleep....however.....I have to say that if your six line end s up picking a sleeping spot that you can watch at night its kindof cool to see it in it's mucus cacoon.

But I will warn you that the Clarkiis are very aggressive. Ours ruled the roost even though there were other larger fish. I had to buy AQUAGloves to move rock because the Clarki would attack my hand if I put it in the tank.

I think that the angel is a good idea. They have a lot of personality. If not, get a good sand sifting goby. They are fun to watch.

He said his clowns just killed a firefish within 5 minutes, so probably not a good idea to try that again. I loved my bi-colored blenny with all his personality, if there's a lot of LR and a tight fitting lid.

I have a Royal Gramma available FS for $15, if you want it. Someone is holding it for me whle my tanks have a chance to become healthy. If you're going to the meeting, I might be able to bring it along. LMK.

OK, Thanks Linda, I didn't see that, don't get another firefish. In this case I would go with a Long Nose Hawkfish. They have a long nose so it would seem less likely that they would eat any crabs that you may have. ;)

angels can live in his tank but it would not be best for the animals and his tank will probably not keep the angel happy that is why it is not a good choice. also they need lots of swiming room. i have a coralbeauty and him and my yellow tang play tag in the tank and swim alottttt.

i would say get a hector goby they look cool. and are easy to keep and are benifical to the tank.

What kind of Angel are we talking about? A dwarf angel like a Cherub Angel? If so they stay small and would do fine in your tank.

we are talking about a coralbeauty and a flame. becacuse those are the ones i think he wants. and sure they can stay in his tank but wont be happy. and also wont have much of the need food supply from lr.

By the way, to a truly addicted reefer, there's no such thing as "my last fish......."
