Another Fluval 13.5 EVO Question - Skimmer

I now in general skimmers aren't used on Nano tanks if for no other reason the small amount of water needed for a change. What I was wondering. If you use a skimmer like the SP 2 would it increase the time between water changes. I may have to Do a lot of traveling this summer, have someone to feed and monitor the Tank but may not be around as much for water changes and thus asking about a skimmer.

Yes and no. A skimmer will help remove wastes produced by fish and other living things but it won't be able to add more Ca, Mg, etc. I'm not sure what corals you have an all but a skimmer is never a bad idea.
