Another leaky tank!

Ok, I have now officially joined the leaky tank club. It's a 10 gal for cryin' out loud. I have never had a tank leak in my life, until tonight. To be fair though, it was an older tank that I had for years. I guess the seam just decided it was time. No real biggie. Just a drip......drip......drip.....

reseal it.. a 10 gallon shouldn't take you more than about an hour to remove/reseal...

Luckily, I have a couple of empty ones, so I just transferred everything over. I will drill another tomorrow, as this was a microreef. I'm not too upset. I wanted to make some changes anyway, and it didn't happen while I was away or in the middle of the night (thankful for small blessings).

A tube of silicone would be almost as much as a new tank. I have a ten gallon you can have but the ride to my house would cost more than a new one as well!

Ichthyoid, I have a recently opened tube of silicone that still has 75% of its original contents that you can have. I live near by.

Thanks everyone. Everything is settled down in the new (temporary) tank. Worst part was staying up til 2 am getting it all moved and cleaning up. I have extra tanks, so thats not a problem.

Now what am I going to set up in it's place...mwhahahaaa!!!

Thanks Gary. I have two big headaches, I mean tanks, already. I may be selling the 150. :doh:

I have a 70 and a 50 breeder that I am planning to set up instead. They will give me more versatility, I think. The 150 was an awesome FOWLR tank, but I have moved on from big angels and want to concentrate more on corals.

I also have 3 x 20 longs that will be the mini-coral farm (100 gal total). Don't tell my wife yet, she has NO clue what I'm planning.

oh thats right...good luck Bill. I have a 20L in the garage and a HOB filter/pc lights and hood with your name on it if you need it, we could prolly scrounge you up a heater too..that way you dont have to make any rash decisions as to upgrade
