Anthias Sex

Now that I have your attention.

I have an Anthias that I thought was a female. After 3 months I now see a predominant spine in the dorsal fin. Does this determine gender and could I expect it to change its color also later?

Following along here, I have the same things going on in my tank. Trying to figure out the male, even though the color is the same in all of them.

It could be in the beginning stages of changing, but the male of that species is much more red and often has pink or yellow in it as well.
